BotCity was founded in Brazil in 2018 by Lorhan Caproni and Gabriel Archanjo, with the purpose of transforming process automation in the corporate environment, placing freedom and code autonomy at the center.

It was with the experience in automation services that the team realized a latent pain in the market: lack of flexibility and scalability with technical restrictions, high license costs and technological lock-in operation low-code/no-code.

That's when we started developing our own platform, adapted to the real challenges of building and maintaining automations at scale, using open-source programming languages.

This practical experience led us to a bold decision: to stop providing services and dedicate ourselves fully to creating a new generation of tools for centralized governance of intelligent automation and Hyperautomation, developed specifically for developers and technology teams.

In 2021, we welcomed Hugo Slepicka to the founding team and launched our operations in the United States from the Bay Area, signaling the beginning of our global chapter.

Our vision and differentiated approach have attracted support from world-class investors including Upload Ventures (Softbank), Astella, Alexia Ventures, and Norte Ventures, as well as respected angel investors such as Rod Johnson (creator of the Spring Framework) and executives from NetApp, Quinto Andar, and McKinsey. These partnerships have helped us expand our reach across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
